Pints and PawSox

Join us for a special tour of local breweries before all Friday PawSox home games!

  • Brew Tour and Game Ticket Combo!
Adult (21+)
Private Tour

The Rhode Island Brew Bus has partnered with the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, to present a special Pints and PawSox tour before Friday home games during the 2018 season.

This unique tour and ticket combination is available before every Friday evening game this season. That’s 10 different dates, starting with Opening Day in April and ending in late August!

The Pints and PawSox tour will leave from McCoy Field in Pawtucket at 4:00pm for 7:05pm game starts. The Brew Bus part of the tour will bring guests to three different locally owned breweries to learn about each business, meet owners and staff, take brief tours (if available), and have an opportunity to sample their craft alcohol products.

The tour will arrive back at McCoy Field approximately 30 minutes before scheduled game time, where guests will be handed a ticket for a reserved seat for the game that night.

Pints and PawSox tickets include convenient parking at McCoy Stadium, the guided brew tour, transportation, a local snack served on board, bottled water, a Rhode Island Brew Bus souvenir bag, gratuities at each stop, as well as a Pawtucket Red Sox reserved game ticket for each guest. Guests will also include a $10 voucher that can be used for food, drink, or merchandise at the game! All guests must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the tour.

The Pints and PawSox tour is also available for private booking for groups of 10-25 people, and depending on scheduling could include games on other days of the week. Larger groups can also inquire about a package that includes All You Can Eat food at a BBQ Tent at McCoy Field.

This tour and game ticket combo is offered exclusively through the Rhode Island Brew Bus in partnership with the Pawtucket Red Sox. All questions about the tour should be directed to The Rhode Island Brew Bus by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 401-232-4232.

Note: Tour stops and order are subject to change without notice based on facility and production needs.

2018 Pints and Paw Sox Schedule

Each Pints and PawSox tour includes visits to these breweries: Foolproof Brewing, Crooked Current, and The Guild.

Foolproof Brewing was founded in 2012 by Nick Garrison, a former homebrewer from Massachusetts. Foolproof brewed their first batch in December 2012 and began in-state sales in January 2013. Their first head brewer was Damase Olsson, a former chemist and brewer at Nashoba Valley Winery and now-defunct Pennichuck Brewery. He is now retired and serves as brewer emeritus. The current head brewer is Steve Sharp. and their beers can now be found in all New England states.

Crooked Current Brewery was founded in 2014 by two life-long Rhode Islanders: Jason Lourenco and Nichole Pelletier. Jason is a military veteran who has extensive business experience. He oversees all non-brewing activities. Nichole is the head brewer and comes from a family of chefs that are well known throughout Rhode Island. They are brewing in the Mineral Spring Ave mill building that previously housed Foolproof Brewing Company and the Bucket Brewery, which both opened in 2012. Crooked Current’s name is meant to acknowledge some of Rhode Island’s political criminals.

Isle Brewers Guild, more commonly called The Guild, is a cooperative brewery opened in 2017 by Jeremy Duffy and Devin Kelly. Duffy was a partner in a marketing communication agency which helped to relaunch Narragansett Beer in 2005. Kelly worked for InBev in Belgium as the VP of Global Brands with responsibility for Stella Artois and Brahma. The Guild is designed as a partner brewery where brewers craft their beer under the care and supervision of their own brewmaster. It is located in the former Kellaway Center, a 130,000-square-foot facility offering a wide range of brewing and packaging services. They have a 100-barrel brewhouse and an initial brewing capacity of 60,000 barrels, and the opportunity to grow to 175,000 barrels in future years.
